About UMD Technical
We are UMD Ultimation Direct, a manufacturer of automated sliding gates, swing gates, barriers, road blockers, height restrictors and more. This app is designed to assist your engineers and surveyors with live assistance in the field, using AI to read through all source material and documentation in real time and provide you with the answers you need.
UMD Technical is the technical advisory service of Ultimation Direct, a UK manufacturer and supplier of automatic gates, barriers, turnstiles, door controls and associated safety equipment.
This site gives our customers and field engineers a private assistant that answers technical questions using our own operations manuals, programming guides and product data sheets. Answers are drawn only from that documentation, and the assistant says so when something is not covered.
Accounts are created on request and reviewed by an administrator before access is granted, so the documentation library stays limited to customers and engineers we work with.
Security
How we handle your data
UMD Technical is hosted on Supabase (database and authentication, EU region) via the Lovable platform. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
Access to the underlying manuals and programming guides is restricted to approved user accounts, reviewed and approved by an Ultimation Direct administrator before access is granted.
Assistant answers are generated using Google's Gemini model via Lovable's AI infrastructure. Questions you send to the assistant are not used to train any AI model.
Accounts and their associated data are automatically and permanently deleted when an account is closed.
